FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Net Cleaning Equipment Q. Pressure was 280 bar but now 320 bar. Why did it increase? A. One or more of the nozzles on the cleaning head is blocked. Cleaning efficiency will be greatly reduced so better to stop and clear them. Q. Pressure is below 250 bar and vibration can be felt in the pressure hose. What is causing this? A. Probably grit or sand stuck in one of the valves of the pressure pump. Remove and check. If worn, replace using interpump Kit 169 on Parts Order Form. Q. Why are the nozzles regularly blocked and when cleared block again very quickly? A. Check filter sleeve as it probably has a small hole in it. Replace if necessary. If filter sleeve is intact then remove all nozzles and pump through to flush anything which has got into the system. Q. Why is the output pressure low and appearing to be sucking air? A. The rubber seal on inlet filter connection is worn or missing. Spare is in toolkit. Q. Why has the pressure dropped with cleaning head but lance gives 280 bar? A. The teflon seal has failed on one of the disks. It should be replaced at at least every 30 hours use. Q. Why do I have to replace piston seals on the pump regularly? A. Pumping fresh water when not in use will greatly increase the life of seals. The salt will crystallise then next time the pump is used wear will be excessive. Regular spraying with oil or WD40 will increase life and make future maintenance easier. Q. I can see black pieces of rubber in the inlet pipe. What are these? A. The pump has been run without inlet in water i.e. sucking air. The impeller in the Jabsco pump has overheated and broken up. Replace impeller and flush through to clear. Valves in pump will be blocked along with nozzles in head and can be difficult to clear. See full procedure in manual.
